New Berlingo Auto Box - Anyone have one?

Looking at a deal on a new Berlingo (66 plate) and the dealer has some autos in with a really good price on pre-registered units.

I take it these are the robotised type of auto? We had a Smart Roadster with this type of box and it was quite odd if left in auto mode but OK id used on the wheel paddles.
Does anyone on here own the auto? what do you think of it? 
I prefer a manual but the deal on the auto is good and I think the resale value will be higher when we come to resell it in three years. My neighbour has been searching for an auto and most are about 30% more expensive than manuals o the used market - supply/demand I suppose.

I don't know if there have been significant changes since 2014 when I bought a new Berlingo 1.6e-HDi 90 VTR Airdream auto.  So far I'd say it's the best auto I ever had, including a series of auto Volvo estates in the 1980s - 1990s, and a Renault Kangoo 2006 auto.  It will depend on your driving style; mine is more sedate than it was in the early 1960s but I'm no slouch either.  To my mind, it's safer to let the car select the correct gear so you have both hands available to steer with. I've had no problems with the auto, and regularly get 53+ mpg.

When I bought mine, Citroen only offered an auto box on the diesel Multispace, I don't know if they're doing a petrol auto now?  I'm not referring to the van versions at all.

We have a euro 6 blue hdi 100 feel edition Berlingo EGS. Yes it is an automated manual gearbox. We also have a C3 with EGS gearbox. Love them both. Remember that the EGS has a dry clutch so you must not hold the car on hills with the throttle unless you want to burn the clutch out quickly. I believe this is why Citroen are moving back to conventional fluid flywheel autos...
A dealer told me that 80% of EGS customers have no problems but 20% do burn clutches out!
We also got a good deal on the EGS, I wouldn't, however, bank on getting a better price in three years. The government seems to be trying to demonise diesels.

I have an Blingo XTR with the 6 speed robot box, and am well pleased with it. 
There are a few quirks like slow speed manouvering !!!! It just dont work like a normal auto..... I find the best technique is to use the handbrake to control the speed. Having said that most of my driving is local within 3-4 miles with a bit of a run out once a month. Having said that I get 38MPG on average local and 50MPG on the motorway which aint bad for the size of the car. Also it goes quite well and is so so relaxing to drive. The other quirk is the circular gear selector. Feels a bit unnatural at first but you soon get used to it.
I hope you buy one 'cos I think you'll love it.

Can anyone tell me: Can you have cruise control fitted to a Berlingo which has the auto box?

I see quite low mpg figures being quoted above, which is surprising due to the lack of a fluid flywheel being used in the system, just a normal clutch. I get 54 mpg with my 90hp 1.6 HDi van fitted with a manual gearbox. This has dropped to 53 mpg after I switched to using Michelin CrossClimate tyres (better grip, and they run quieter than Energy Savers).

I've got a 62 Multispace auto bought new, and I reckon it's the best car I've had. It's certainly the most versatile. I also tow a lightweight caravan with no problem at all. MPG is around 50, the official claim is miles out. I shall be trading it in at some stage over the next year going for the newer Multispace 100bhp auto which I think will have a useful bit of extra umph when towing! So that's a statement of faith in the car from me.
