Hi, does anyone have any news on the next generation berlingo due 2018/19. Ive seen the mule pics but it really doesnt give anything away what with the current generation body on it with a few mods to the bodywork to accommodate the longer weelbase/chassis.

Google tells me they will be bigger as was current model over over previous. Mule pics with old body on new chassis suggest this & it will also be new Vauxhall Combo/Fiat Doblo all built in Vigo factory. The older models were still available along with new until about 2009. I would have got one but they were only available with 75bhp diesel so I got my current XTR instead as they were available for immediate delivery for reduced price. Current model is a bit too big for me. Size wise I preferred my previous 05reg Berl. So with my current car coming up for 8yrs old & due for service/Mot end of Feb I have ordered new Berl for delivery March 1st to avoid road tax rise provided it is delivered on time as promised.

A mule is a mix of current and next generation models used for testing, normally next generation chassis and interior with current generation body for disguise from photographers.

It will be based on the platform used for the new C4. Judging by the technology available on the new C4 Picasso it could be a fantastic car, although at a price premium. (Currency exchange rates may also have an effect of course).

The back end shape was an accidental wobble, but I quite like the integrated spoiler shape.
Get it in black, ready made hearse
They went wrong making the later model bigger than the M59 and if they go bigger again it will be another nail in the coffin (clever eh ?) in my opinion. Bigger is not always better, if I wanted a bigger van I'd have got a Dispatch.
So where does this bit go then ?
