Hi everybody,

Found this fantastic forum. I'm a fresh owner of 2015 Berlingo Multispace Exclusive HDi 100 (with the decent ETG6 box) - lovely car! Very relaxed and economical drive. Working on my own motorcycles and having a decent garage I'm hoping to start servicing this Berlingo my own once the warranty expires in a year or so, this forum is the best place for Berlingo tech info, tips-tricks-DIYing & know-how!

Hoping I can contribute myself as well when the time comes - I'm installing a diesel-preheater tomorrow, and also doing a full sound isolation soon (slow heating in cold North-Eastern European climate and running those noisy studded winter tyres on already cheaply done noise isolated car - basically eliminating the two "weakest" spots on Berlingo "daily usage" comfort function)

Keep up the good work guys!

Wow, that is up there. I made a run this morning over some hills and it took a good long time to hit 70 let alone normal temp. We have a balmy -9 this morning. Glad I had my down jacket.

Yep, the same -9C here today as well. Takes ages to fully warm up and the fuel consumption is through the roof with the freezing cold engine, hence I'm installing a proper diesel burning preheater tomorrow - should warm up the engine and cabin very quickly and nicely. Will let you know how this helps out once I've tested it for some days.

Hi to Estonia.

yes in the UK the preheaters are not really necessary but that do add to the comfort factor.

What you going to fit Eberspächer or Webasto?

Cheers mate! Good to see other motorcyclists here as well Smile

Considered both, but they're bloody expensive here so I'll go for the less known but equally capable and reliable Autoterm Binar 5S. With fitting it costs 2X less than Webasto for example. Seen some good reviews on Binar 5S, lets see how it stacks up in near days.

Yes been biking since i was 12 now 51 LOL Just for pleasure these days and only on bright sunny days Big Grin

i understand that the major manufacturers tend to be expensive and it makes it not worth the outlay so i hope you have some good service from the Binar-5s let us know how you get on. All the best.
