MPPS is for changing software in the engine ecu, and also as said, probably not ok for the 1600 hdi. You certainly should mess with this unless you know exactly what you are doing.
The car has several ecu's and enabling the aux to work is not done by messing with the engine ecu.
You will need diagbox which can communicate with every part of the car & every ecu.
Once you have got this operating correctly & you know where to make alterations, it is quite simple to turn on the aux capability.

Thanks

Post what area you are in and see if anyone has the software and interface or knows some who does.

Hi all,
I've now enabled the aux input on my rd4, this is the guide I used.
From main menu after hooking up to the Van:-
1. click repair - it then does a global test
2. highlight the radio bar in the test results, click green tick.
3. click configuration - it then tells you to start the engine, click green tick
4. click configuration again
5. click manual configuration
6. click radio configuration - it then does a test on the radio
7. highlight aux 1, click green tick it
8. select conventional setting
9. click settings button, it then should tell you it was successful, click green tick
You should then be able to access input 1 via the source button on the radio.
I can't take credit for the guide as forum member Peter Palmer provided it.
