Hello from Aberdeenshire

Just taken ownership of an 04 with the Gleneagles disabled conversion. I was looking for a wee van as a run around, however this came up and it's perfect: I run a charity bicycle service and recycling centre so there are always bikes needing to be transported. The wife is complaining about oil on the carpets and seats of the xc60 (cant see why! )and the mother in law is also reaching the point where she will need occasional wheelchair transportation.
First job is to see if I can clean/lubricate the gear linkages which are pretty stiff but it's been well covered on the forum so looks straight forward enough.

It's great to see such a well constructed and maintained site which is easy to navigate and where the members give their help and advice so readily - this is a great help to Berlingo first-timers like myself. Cheers, Matt

Furry boots in the shire do you do this bicycle recycling. I have a bunch of servicable stuff to donate i was jt going to bosh it down to the one on the uni campus in town

Wee job 3 days a week as co-ordinator of The Bike Shack. It's one part of the volunteer programmes run by the Networks of Wellbeing (formerly the Mental Health Group) We recycle  donated bikes and resell them to the public - 264 last year. We also service bikes and do bike maintainence classes.
All donations gratefully accepted - might manage to pick up if yir nae too far awa.
