Service light reset

Hi guys,

When resetting the service light it counts down from 10 to 1 if I stop the countdown at five would that half the mileage between services ?
I'd like to do a extra oil change between services live the previous owner did and would like to use the service indicator to remind me if possible .

No - just keep resetting it at oil change time.
