[Engine] EGR clean, plastic separation
#1
Hi all,

Decided to clean my EGR and have a quick question. It is a 1.6hdi (57 reg) 9HXC engine (no fap). Once I take it off, do I need to separate the two bits, the plastic (supposedly electronic part) from the bottom one in order to clean it properly? I have a carb cleaner and was thinking of soak it in that and have a toothbrush to clean it properly. If it is easy to separate them, if there some specific procedure to put them back together, some sort of alignment?

Thanks for any pointers.

Many thanks indeed, that seems quite helpful.
