[Steering & Suspension] 62 plate 1.6 diesel. Steering shudder and vibration

A month ago i bought a 62 plate 27,500 Berlingo. within a week i was getting a vibration and vehicle shudder when turning more so a slow left hand corner, or other slow manoeuvres The Citroen dealer has looked at it and suggests its a 'characteristic' of the car!!!. Well it certainly was vibrating and shuddering when i test drove then bought it. Any suggestions as its going back in next Wednesday, to have water under the front passenger seat investigated too. Same here ... went for an MOT this morning ... car returned with steering wheel vibrating when turning. Read the tip about turning the wheel 10 times with the wheels off the ground - engine running - and after the garage did that the problem was gone ..... so thanks to that poster.
