Grizz' Prozac for the Soul - Berlingo Multispace
#11
Interesting observation on this site is the photos not showing up in my thread, just the image tags.

Am I missing a trick or setting??

Thanks

Temptation alert.

Andy offered me some 8' timber planks. Shed anyone?

Was going to offer it to Mickey but thought that maybe I should build a garden tool shed under the pine tree in the garden.

Looks like the weather is turning too.

Harley really did a good tour of the van on Sunday too. Never got a photo but exhaustion saw her settle in the study later.

Andy who sold me the VTR wheeks and new wheel bolts also has a Berlingo van. He identified that the rear silencer was missing a support strap.
I went to look tonight and found this bodge.

Kwik Fit telephonic quote was £135.00 fitted.

Not impressed, I searched and found a cheaper DIY alternative.

Under £40.00 including delivery.

Because when you wriggle the tailpipe with your toe around the rear wheel you see part of the problem.

I am not going to try weld it up.

Morning Mike,

I was trying to just post a single new reply, posting one photo.

But it keeps throwing all the other info from the previous post in there too.

Then I copied the img tag and tried to do it like suggested as http and https just to see which one came up as a picture....... it posted a completely garbled mess at the bottom ofte
He post.

I am sure it has to something simple.

This may be the better way to go....... for the wheels.

Black or dark anthracite. Like what was on my old MX5 roof or wheels.

I also took the van out to fill it up late afternoon........

Service with a smile as standard.

Bradfords Garage, they still work the forecourt and frown on self service.

[Image: CA20870A-DD62-4268-8AB9-8BCAB20000A8_zpsoiohtahu.jpg]

Looked at replacing the discs and pads. But decided to see what a bit of road use will do to them first.

Bosch brake system, typically the most costly option, thankfully there are 30% and 50% discount vouchers online this weekend.

Just before dark I buffed up all the plastics as well as polishing the scuffs from the first owners use.

Removed the Italian flag and replaced it with this on the rear.

Right...... time to ask for your opinions again please.

Side window tinting on the Berlingo.

I am looking at 35% or 20% film.

Not sure what the collective feels is appropriate.

I want to get the illusion of a van, a bit of scrote eye blinding and privacy or "security" to keep eyes out the back when I have goods or anything in there.

Will probably not do the rear window, as I have another plan for it, just the rear glass sides.

I also need to still see through the sides when reverse parking etc.

So if anyone knows tinting, then let me know if the 20% is too dark.

EBay ad shows this.

35% tint

And the darker 20%

Well, great news..... Katy was very impressed with the Berlingo when I got here today.

I have ordered 35% film for the rear windows.

Out shopping today I found this like new chair in the Red Cross Charity Shop skip, I guess it is not right for their inventory.

After Katy cooked dinner tonight,  which was rather good.

It was my turn to make desert.

Best part of my weekend is that Katy and I are dog sitting her parents' dog Humphrey.

He is a cool 5 year old.

Looking forward to the tint getting here next week.
