Hi all.
Just joined the forum after buying a second hand berlingo multispace 2009.
I bought it from a local car dealer with 33,000 miles on the clock. As soon as we have begun driving it the rear end is really twitching when going over bumps, dangerously so if the pot hole/bump is on a bend. It has gone back and they have told me they can't find anything. Very fustrating!
Can anyone she'd any light on the problem.
Cheer
Simon

Hi, Have you checked the tyre pressures ?
I found my B9 is quite twitchy on low tyre pressures and most tend to inflate to the normal for most cars (around 32 psi) .
The B9 needs the recommended pressures which is a lot higher (42 - 46 if I remember rightly)

I don't understand the twitching term you are using, is the car leaving the road ? Our car is the older model but you do find the Berlingo has soft suspension and is sensitive to tyre pressure differences. The only time I found my back end twitching (ooer missus) was on black ice and it did cause some sphincter nipping but soon came back into line.
So where does this bit go then ?

If garage confirms there is nothing wrong with car & as pointed out check tyre pressures are correct. Empty & loaded pressures are on sticker in door frame. Then perhaps you are expecting too much from what is a commercial van with seats & windows? Ride is fairly lively & noisy over bumpy roads.
