new user here, with a 54 plate 1.9d multi-space (ex pug 305, 309 and 306 owner plus many land rovers) - I'm relatively mechanically aware so might be able to help in general but new to the marque!

cheers guys -
I've just made my 1st fix on the stiff steering, thought it was the pump or rack but turned out to be a stiff knuckle/ UJ at the bottom of the steering column, just above the rack.
A little of WD40 and some brisk turning from lock to lock did the trick!
Next jobs are a full service (bits off e-bay for around £35 including oil and injector cleaner) a sidelight bulb (probably a £) and two matching Nexen tyres on the front (off Gumtree for £20) - all sorted for under £10
Still finding storage nooks and crannies plus found a cargo net stored in the above head locker!
Great cars, as they say the new 2cv and the 1.9d just runs and runs if maintained.
My last 1.9 (309 GLD pug) did over 200k with regular oil and filter changes, I did 6k changes and the buyer was amazed that the oil was clean on the dipstick!
