[Steering & Suspension] Battery light comes on

Hi guys

The battery light on my Berlingo comes on when I turn the steering wheel all the way to the maximum (not something I like to do) but I don't understand why it is happening. Any idea? The light on the dash is on triggered when I push the steering wheel to the end. When the steering week makes contact at the end then it's when the battery light comes on

the same belt drives the alternator and power steering pump sounds like your belt could be slipping (too loose) or the alternator is on its way out and the belt is slipping.

What happening is when your on full lock your making the pump work hard up against the stop slowing the engine down enough to for the light to come on but check the belt anyway .
