CrapNAV
#1
Hi
I'm really disappointed with the Teletrac satnav (understatement) that was pre-installed with my (nearly new) van but I guess you all know about this experience.
I want to fit a Tom Tom and forget I had this bad dream.
#1 Can the Tom Tom plug straight into the existing lead (with or without an adapter)
#2 Can I utilize the existing dash mount

I know this is a touchy subject and I'm about to remove the offending kit, walk to the bottom of the garden and toss the bloody thing as far over the fence as humanly possible..
Any help fully appreciated
Regards
C

I use CoPilot - £17 one-off fee, with lifetime updates.  It works great.  I just wired in a hard-wire micro-usb charger so it's completely hidden except for a few inches of cable hanging out of the bottom of the A-pillar.  A rubber sucker mount in the bottom left corner of the screen does the job for me.

Google "Drive" App on Android works as well as any built-in or aftermarket SatNavs I've used, its continually updated and its free.

I have maps.me on iphone it's free and uses data downloaded on wifi at home, I think google maps has the facility for it now and Here WeGo maps works offline as well. I have Waze on as well and that does offline maps and updates from users on local conditions.
So where does this bit go then ?
