Rear window heater
#1
Hi Guys (and gals),

Any idea on fixing a rear window heater without replacing the whole glass?

It seems to work in some areas ( a couple of lines) but not others.

Any help would be appreciated.

You can get some electric conductive paint in silver, just find the brakes in the heating element and bridge them with the paint. A modeling brush is ideal for applying the paint.

something like this would be ideal:

Thank you for the reply.

I cant seem to see any breaks in the lines. There are parts where it gets fainter  i have looked at the descriptions of the paint and it says not to put over existing "print".

If I was to go over the lines it would probably work

You can find really easy where line is not conducting.

Take 12v bulb . One end of wire connect to +12 and the other end pull slowly
across heater line. When bulb stops lighting you found break.

There is a thread about fixing rear heater with conductive paint.
Just use "search" forum function.
