Roof Bars

Been looking out for a cheap set on e-bay but they seem to attract silly money so of to the scrappies today.
Found a Mk1 van (Mines Mk11 Multi but think they are the same) but it had only got 1 bar on it.

I'd read previously about genuine Citroen bars having strange locking bolts and thought folks were being a bit stupid, got to be either Torx or Hex-Allen Key fitment, but no you were right:!::!:.
Put me glasses on for a closer look...:brickwall::brickwall:
A five faceted cap-headed screw needing a specialised 5 sided allen key:!::!::!: Selected the next best fit of torx bit and give it a clout and it made contact with the cap-screw sufficient to liberate it.

Now on the look out for another roof bar if anyone wants to sell me one cheap....

Thanks for that, Steve. Don't mind travelling within reasonable distance and we usually combine collecting something with a day-trip out somewhere.

Auction on e-bay ended today, I was the only bidder.
(Perhaps not many people bother bidding on 1 bar).
Just got to arrange collection now, I'm in Stoke and the seller is about 50 miles away in Birkenhead so a nice little run out to collect together with a day out on the Wirral, Liverpool or Southport...

Not bad for £2.50 plus mileage/diesel... cheers Steve
