Quick question if I may...
What type and brand of engine oil is everyone using, ( for a 2015 1.6 hdi Enterprise van) which is considered the best and the one you would recommend
Regards

Citroen spec is Total Quartz ineo ecs 5W30. All the other oil brands do a same spec. Oil brand website will have oil finder put your reg no or vehicle type in & it will come up with correct spec. The Total oil is much the same price as any other so I'd go with that.

Inneo Quartz is available cheaply via eBay which is where I bought mine a few weeks back all for the convenient price of £22 for 5 Litres delivered to the door, saves looking around for it. I know other makes will suffice according to spec but when shopping is as easy as this then why bother with anything else.

Cheers Geoff....
How much oil does she take???
I usually turn to ECP for oil in the past when there's a deal on, which is why I posed the question of which brand is best because they only have TRIPLE QX .

I use Tripple QX (5w-40) but mine has no DPF.
The engines with a DPF requires a low ash oil, personally I don't think it would make that much difference but that's what they say.
Forget any long service intervals and change the oil more often then the recommended service intervals.
The engine takes just under 4 litres so not a huge capacity.

I tend to buy either manufactures' own filters or well known brand filters from a trusted source. There is a lot of fake crap out there and the last thing you want is a duff oil filter
Are we there yet?????
