Hi all:wave:
Just bought myself a nice low mileage Mk 2 berlingo 1.9. Been a bit of a fan of these for a while now and want to see if they are as usefull as i had hoped

1.9s are slow and not particularly economical but with proper looking after go for ever and they are easy for us to maintain and repair. We have a car (160000 miles) and a Romahome (50000miles) had both from new and will run them till they drop. We love them

Mine just arrived today on the back of a tilt n slide. Getting her plylined on Saturday. Perfect for my new business. I know the 1.9 is slow but its reliability i want and the ability to run on biodiesel:lol::lol::lol:

If everything seems to be going well, you have obviously overlooked something.

Not sure about Biodiesel, it depends which injector pump you have, it destroys the rubber seals on Lucas pumps apparently

Well that buggers that idea. Drove it today and continental drift is faster.
Still, I really like it.

yep biodiesel does knacker the lucas pumps.....
you'll learn to slow down as the 1.9 is leisurely to say the least ( had mine 6 years)
look after her and she'll do well... I get 50mpg after 160000 miles
have fun!

Well i have got 1000 km out of a full tank so thats ok in my book.:lol: I actually find it relaxing to drive compared to my bmw. Got the rear plylined and it makes a hell of a difference to the road noise, You gotta love a car that the some total of tools needed to fit a bluetooth carkit is a swiss army knife. Towbar and roof bars go on tomorrow. Dont need biofuel with this fuel consumption:hehe:
