Berlingo 2.0 hdi gearbox problem

Just seems like one problem after another with my berlingo. The gearbox has developed a fault where sometimes theres like a metal on metal noise only seems to be in 1 2 3 and 5th gear. Doesn't make a difference if the clutch is depressed. Think im going to have to swap the box. Just wondering what vehicles i can get one from. Its a 2006 2.0 hdi with cable clutch? Have you checked/changed the trans oil?They can suffer with condensation with too many short trips.I change mine @2years/20,000m intervals.

Yes gearbox oil is fine i cant find another berlingo gearbox locally by the looks of it a 306 hdi one will fit can anyone confirm

It may well fit but it doesn't mean the ratios will be the same, but it will be a case of suck it and see.
