m49 cruise control retrofit............
#11
Nah mate only the LVVD pedal was needed if you wanted the speed limiter function. But I don't think it's even possible to add this stuff to an M49. I could be wrong but I think they have a cable throttle, no BSI and a very basic ECU.

We have an aftermarket cruise control fitted to out M59 1.9D based Romahome camper.

Conrad Anderson should be able to sort you out.

hi.........

mine is a 2.0hdi, and it has NO BSI, just fuse box............

also, i took the steering wheel trims, and there is no sign of the cruise control stalk nor free connectors for anything............

i think i must wire it straight to the ecu and maybe turn it on, but i cant find any wiring diagram ANYWHERE.............

Sad

ring Bridgewater electronics and see which model cruise control you need if you do not have drive by wire you can still fit one but a lot more fiddly

Like Romahome Pete, I’ve got aftermarket cruise control on my 2001 Nu Venture Surf 2.0hdi.
When I got the van the throttle controller/ servo was missing, but after months of searching on Fleabay I found a complete new kit from a guy in Poland. Cost me about £100 but cheaper than the replacement part on its own. There’s lots of these in USA on older cars but over here mainly on Motorhomes, but as already stated FBW is the norm these days which makes it all easy.
This is the one I’ve got http://pdq.se/wp-content/uploads/2014/08...ngelsk.pdf
