2004 berlingo multispace 2.0 hdi going into limp mode wen ideling over !!!!!!!!!!HELP

I2004 berlingo multispace 2.0 hdi 
Likes to go into limp mode when the van is started and not driving ,,, it's doing my head in now as I've had this problem for a long time , 
It goes off limp mode when I konk engine out take key out and start engine again limp mode goes away , 
always does it when Im sitting at a very long traffic light or talking to somebody with engine on

I wonder who much your local dealers would charge to just plug in their diagnostic kit to get a fault code?

I can get it plugged in for free as a friend has a diagnostics machine but no codes come up ,

Ideally you need to see the live data but just try unplugging the MAF sensor and see if it happens.
