Alloy Info
#1
Hi.
I am pretty much settled on the style of alloys I will be going for but they will surely need Spigot Rings
17" - 4x108 - ET 25 (for 2015 Citroen Berlingo 1.6 Enterprise Van)
I am unsure about the width, std 7" perhaps..
I maybe would like to go a little wider 7.5" or 8"
This is not critical but would like to know if anyone has put wider than the standard 7" wide rims on and if there was any clearance issues or rubbing (also I dont want them sticking out and too stanced)....
Thanks in advance for any replies
Regards
C

I have 7J with 235 tyre's on 7.5 J with 235 tyre's on you mite just get away with it after that you will need to look into the off set ET how far do you want to go you will need to get the arch's rolled get the geometry set up camber bolt's coilover's when you buy the wheel's for your Berlingo they should come with spigot ring's and bolt's to suit .

So what actual tyre size do you suggest as std this sounds ok to me Jed...Please fill in the brackets (any particular load rating number)

235 (xx) R17

I dont want to have all the hassle again as I did with my BMW which had staggered rims.
and certainly dont want to get into having arches rolled etc..
I know they will probably send me a fitting kit with the wheels (spigot rings) but not sure if they will supply the bolts.
In any case I'm sure these will be chrome so will need caps if attaching Anthracite/Gunmetal rims...
Rolleyes
I nearly always buy Hankook rubber when I can, especially the
Ventus V12 Evo 2 K120
I think they have a nice looking tread pattern too lol

Above is the last set I bought and are pretty much hard wearing...Forget the summer tag to these tyres I had them on a rear wheel drive BMW all year round with no adverse effects even in snow on odd occasions..so this is my go-to tyre of choice.
Thanks for your input Jed invaluable and informative many thanks

NB. In addition to all of the above I have emailed the Rim Supplier about the tyres to confirm actual tyres that they would fit given all my criteria.
Their website suggests 215/45/R17 for my van....
I am awaiting their reply and I'll let folks know how this pans out..

Hi.. I run 18x8s et 25, with 18/45/215 tires, have had no fouling or rubbing issues so far. Car is slightly lowered also. If that helps

That helps a lot as I don't wish to lower just yet (and in any case it will only be 10 & 30 with the Bilstein/Eibach kit)
so 215/45 17R should be well within range and I think I'll run with that for now..
I'll let you good folks know how things go when that time comes
Thank you for all your input guys
