Berlingo Newbie
#1
Thanks for the add girls and guys!

I never thought this day would come but in the quest for the right mix of economy, practicality and funkiness, I'm moving from Subaru Forester Turbo to Berlingo ownership this week.

I'm getting older or more sensible. Maybe a combination of both. I blame the wife really...

I've settled for a 1.6hdi, fsh, 1 owner, 100k beast. It doesn't guarantee anything but it's a good place to start I guess. Lots of 1.6hdi horror stories around but I'm feeling brave. Big Grin

Wish me luck!

Hi Rev and welcome dont worry about the 1.6hdi engine lots on the road without probs - just keep the engine serviced and use the correct oil it will be fine.

Hi Rev welcome to the forum glad to have you on board. As Polar says just keep it serviced and use the correct oil and you will be fine. You always hear the horror stories but there are thousands of those engines out there working well. I had one for a couple of years brought secondhand no problems at all.
Are we there yet????? Huh

Sorry Geoff

The name came from teenage years spent obsessing over high revving honda engines.

Although i am religious, so you never know... the crazy priest thing could happen... Smile

Beast is not really a description I would apply to a Berlingo  Rolleyes but each to their own  Big Grin Hello RM.
