Which year is your Berlingo?
(In 2000 they added the BSI)
Which gearbox do you have?
Note that the flywheel sensor sits in a cutout on the bellhousing, so if the engines uses different sensors, you may be in for a bit of a bind. (This was an issue when I swapped 1.4i engines.)

necropost i know, i have an 05 1.9 dw8
would it be a ball ache to fit a 1.6hdi or 2.0hdi?
dw8 is just dead as hector

It would, needing a new wiring loom and BSI would make it complicated and expensive. More sensible to buy a different model Berlingo.
So where does this bit go then ?

A common rail diesel with turbo is likely to need extra wiring & a different ECU / BSI. Lots of good price 2.0 HDi's for sale...
