any one got one for sale they seem quite expensive on ebay? anything under £30 with postage or collection west midlands area.
mechnic not sure it fix the random speed rev problem but worth a go if get one cheap enough.

Did you know that they can be repaired, because they have to re coded for your car specifically. Had same problem on mine 2 years back now.
Was quoted £1k + another £500 labour as it takes 3 hours to fit.
Went to an auto electrics place that I knew had a good rep from others who'd used it and they stripped out the dash cluster and sent it off and it cost me with all labour etc £245. Only problem now is that fuel gauge sender and temp sender do not give true readings, but for a car this age X reg I'll not spend anymore than is nec to keep it working. Still passes its MOT. Which is due on Dec 16th. Tis a common problem with French cars or so I was told.

the code on the front of instrument cluster is m49/12meb.ja , does that mean its a popular one?
is it going to be hard to find a matching one?
