Advice on which Berlingo to buy.

I'm looking for a van so that I can deliver items cheaper than using my current range of LWB Iveco's, this wouldn't be a replacement but an extra van.

Anything from 2003 to 2008 ideally as I want to spend as little as possible, but will want to fit cruise to it as well (is there a model that's got this factory fitted?)

I'm based in the North East and when delivering items to customers in Central London (once or twice a week), it's quite expensive for them, so looking to reduce these costs and pass the savings on.

 I've seen a few LPG/petrol Berlingo's and want to compare the mpg figures against a diesel Berlingo.

Does anyone have experience of the petrol engine ?, is it reliable ?, is it powerful enough for the van ?, I'd like to cruise at 70, not have the engine screaming it's head off.

Sorry cannot help on the London aspect as no experience and given the lack of replies I thought I'd bump the topic back up the list.

May sound odd but if you only have a couple of items per week it may work out cheaper to sub out and use another courier than invest in another van ??

It's not possible to sub this out as it's specialised equipment that we have to deliver / install ourselves.

I'm considering a diesel as well, I know they're quite good on fuel, but trying to match this with an LPG and save on congestion charges.
