Well that's irritating- new relay fitted but still doing it!
Have bought fuel pump so will do this next- hopefully that'll sort it!

Although fuel pump turns out to be a pain! Got tank out but retaining ring won't turn- smacked it with hammer & screwdriver but all this has achieved is breaking the ridges off!
Might try an oil filter strap thing- any more ideas?!

If its like a big locking ring you can get tools to undue them but ive undone them by bending a piece of flat bar each side so it drops over the locking ring then weld a big nut to the centre and then use a bar to turn. They can be tight as the seal dries out try some silicone spray on the joint first. Replace the seal when you put it back together.
Are we there yet?????

It could be the coil breaking down. Classic signs when they get hot. Might be worth getting any fault codes read before buying on as th're not cheap for the genuine ones.

Does the coil mean the big set of plastic leads which go into the plugs on top of the engine? If so I have a spare which I'll put on to give it a try.
Thanks again!

Cool, planning on putting my spare one on at weekend. It's also got an exhaust problem- the bottom joint under the engine keeps blowing no matter how I try sealing it.
I wonder whether or not this could end affecting it? Or could it be a problem with the vacuum in the inlet manifold maybe?
