Fitting Aftermarket Spoiler

I know some of you folks have fitted the Aldor rear roof spoiler. Just wondering if you have any advice for prep...I know the mating surface on the spoiler needs sanded down...but should I rub down the top of the boot as well? The kit comes with Adhesive and screws and I have bought a tube of tiger seal just in case. So with the right prep it should stay put! Any other advice would help too.. cheers
