Hi All,
I've got hold of a 2002 (october) 1.9D. Berlingo Needs some work :-)
First thing is to identify the engine, and model , so I can go to the correct discussions, er...any help on that graciously received...
I think I've a DW8 (?) , I took the plastic cover off for the photo below, and it sounds like there are three versions WJZ, WJY and later WJY (?) though the Haynes manual is a bit difficult to understand. My VIN number does have WJY embedded in it so that's a clue I hope.
Any clues to where I can find the idle speed sensor also appreciated (currently it's at 1050rpm all the time), then I need to see why the alternator light is only going off once it's revved high for a while (charged the battery and that seems to have held at 12.5, but when I start the engine voltage drops to 11.8v and only rises slightly on revving)... ant THEN I can try and figure out why the fuel guage needle appears to be around 90 degrees too far clockwise.... though at least it works :-) )
Plenty to keep e occupied.
Cheers,
