hi wondering if someone can help me out? have a citoren berlingo 1.9 04 plate. bought it a few months ago.the van runs fine and drives great. I noticed that it's started to heat up a bit to 80-90. but then it drops down itself?. also have oil in my water. anyone else experience this. I hope it's oil cooler as I have a big leak coming from there. any advice would be appreciated. thanks

Sort the cooler problem & flush the cooling system. If that doesn't cure it,it's time to check the head gasket.

Hi Meg,
The temperature your van is running at is fine, as for the oil in the water it could well be the oil cooler , if the van runs ok & doesn't smoke it's more likely to be this, rather than the Head Gasket, do you get a high build-up of pressure in the main water hoses ? this would suggest Head Gasket, hopefully not, I would certainly remove the oil cooler, thoroughly clean it & fit new seals, this is the easiest & cheapest way to eliminate problems, always start with the basics first,
Hope this helps, let me know the outcome.
