Goodbye,Farewell,I'm outta here :-)
#1
Well, the vans sold, cars ready to pack in a few weeks and I'm now retired  Big Grin

this is a pic waiting for the new owner to turn up,got something in my eye when it drove off  Sad Sad

3 years and 248000 miles, still the SAME drums and shoes,a pair of front discs and pads as they'd gone cruddy, not worn :-)
3 cam belt/waterpump changes and an egr valve at 225k,2 full sets of tyres, rotated, got me 90k and 95k respectively, no suspension changes at all, same clutch, same turbo, good oil every 6/7 weeks (8k miles)
and  the usual filters and bulbs, been a belting van,oh and not 1 puncture, every tank full since i bought it has been recorded, 248000 miles with an overall return of 57.2mpg..what else can I say  Angel

retiring to spain, government has finally seen fit to give the wife her pension,4 years late like...I refuse to swear  Undecided

thanks for the advice on the little bits of help I've needed,it's definitely the best forum I've used Rolleyes Rolleyes

I'll be lurking in the background as the mate over there has a berlingo :-) Enjoy your summer,I'm sure I'll enjoy mine god willing, cheers,Ian big man hugs xxxxxx

we've got a place in san javier,Murcia
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/San+...-0.8379633

been going to the same area for a good 10 years, then i had the heart attacks 2011/12/13 and took a work pension early bought the place with the lump some so I didn't blow it on a supercharged V8 berlingo haha, then that's when the dwp jumped in and told her 2 months before her 60th that she'd another 4 years to do,hence i needed to get back to work, been a long time coming, bloody inland revenue notified my accountant and gave him my spanish address and I didn't even know it had been done haha "wall's have ears"

a few pic's from the area stuck together...

Happy days Ian hope you enjoy your retirement - remember you can always log on from time to time and say hi.

I think your post should be made a sticky to help stop the usual annoying questions we get about 1.6hdi reliability!  Big Grin

I know the area Ian. We usually take the train down to Alicante, rent a car and go about 45 min south to stay but do a lot of exploring. Pulpitos a la Plancha to die for. All the best.
