Removing steering wheel
#1
Hello all,
I have treated my 2016 berlingo to a new steering wheel, the problem being I have never removed a steering wheel and have no idea where to start.
If anyone has a step by step guide that would be very appreciated!
Thank you in advance

If you have access to a Haynes manual that might give you some advice. What kind of wheel did you get?

I will have to get one ordered now!
The replacement wheel is a Momo Team, I have had it laying around for ages and thought I would finally get it fitted to a vehicle.
Thank you for the welcome, will do a newbie post once I can upload some photos

Are you going to lose the airbag ? Airbag light may stay on. Do you have yearly vehicle checks in Spain, how does losing the airbag affect the test ?
So where does this bit go then ?

It does mean that I will lose the steering, so I will have the airbag light on.
Unfortunately I'm not in Spain, I am in England, but the van isn't due an MOT until 2019. I will be keeping the original steering wheel for this!

Can I suggest you contact your insurance company before you dispense with the airbag as they will want to know of this modification.
