2003 Multispace Newbie
#1
Hi
Just bought a one owner mk2 Multispace Forte with 60k on the clock . She's very clean , the old gent who owned her from new can't drive any more hence the sale which was sad. £700 which I think is a bargain looking at dealer prices .
Im surprised at how good it handles around the corners , hardly any body roll compared to my now dead Volvo 940 .
I just removed a million stickers from the back windows , souvenirs of where she's been , in the bin !

Jobs are :
Secure rear silencer which is bouncing around , Central locking not working , EML light on .

Cheers

Ok so WVO, hope it works out.

Pardon me for perhaps sounding unwelcoming but you really do need to feed a little more information into your posts to help us understand what you are trying to say.

Anyway ......

With a new pump on order can I take it you have sorted out the MIL ?

Silencer rubbers, yes a good idea as they are much cheaper than a new exhaust when it fractures. While you are underneath have a look at the back box clamp as they can and frequently do rust away and fail but also allow water to collect at the flange which rusts away the two rear exhaust sections.

Have fun and enjoy your vehicle --- by the way the berlingo likes tyre pressures a few psi above the suggested settings giving better steering, handling and less tyre wear ( I have been known to throw my multispace around on more than one occasion and am also an ex white van man ).

Booked an MOT for it tomorrow so Ive fitted new rear exhaust rubbers.
I investigated as to why the central locking isn't working . Would you believe it all of the actuators are dead . Reason for this is the BSI unit was replaced last year and I'm guessing the dead one powered all of the actuators for quite some time , they are all open  circuit !. It cost £608 for a new one to be fitted and configured!
