Yes the early ones have two 7mm allen barrel nuts and the later ones have a single star bolt. Why do you want to know? There is nothing wrong with the early type as long as they are tight - the torque from the factory was incorrect it was far too low. If you tighten them up, like i have done with a far few you will not have any problems.

Are you talking about the injectors @polar? What is the torque setting you use for them? I was looking with diagbox yesterday and the injector from cylinder number 1 in my van is undercompensating (0.8x) as compared to the other 3 injectors (1.1x), and I also had an error message regarding out of range compensation...do you think this can have anything to do with the a leaky injector seal?

Thanks for that

I had one that had a seal replaced (older type) and I'm considering buying a hex wrench to keep an eye on them as its cheaper than replacing any further seals.
I presume they just need to be tightened firm but not too tight ?

Hi Luis,

I suspect the reading you are getting is at idle? If so it may be to do with it shutting down at idle as i know some Citroen engines shut an injector down. Try seeing the live data when driving?

If you have a leaking injector you need to sort this ASAP mate - i dont know if would though up a odd reading if it was leaking?

I cant tell you the torque setting because being an ex mechanic i do a lot of things by feel but all i can say is i do them up much much tighter than the factory setting - you need to feel them and do them up until if you go any more the little crap studs will snap!

Yes tighten them until if you go any more you will snap them that is how i do them, just feel as you go.

lol, this is how I used to tighten the cylinder head studs on my first 50cc motorcycles very long ago...just a tad before snapping. I will try to look for the Nm torque setting on the Peugeot/Citroen French sites, and will leave it here if I find it.

I definitely have to take a look and see if this undercompensation is related with a leak or not, since I have a big trip next month, and would not like to make it with a leaky injector.

Thanks!

Luis
