Reset fault codes on B9 Berlingo?
#1
I got a fault code after I updated my maps (to 2017 Europe update) and then the navigation firmwire myself. The engine fault error came during the firmwire update so unless it's a coincidence I assume the software update did something the ECU didn't like. Everything works as should, but it gives a fault code every time I start, saying "Engine Fault" on the screen yet everything works perfectly.

Is there a way to reset the ECU and fault codes without an OBD reader?

Mine is 09/2015 model with the large 7" touchscreen.

Without reader NO.
Not all errors can be reset with cheap OBD reader.

Probably your error is related to navigation.
If that is correct than IMHO cheap OBD reader will not be useful.
Only Lexia will help you.

Thanks brajomobil!

It actually disappeared by itself a day after. So if anyone updates their NAV firmware by themseleves, don't be surprised if you get an engine fault while doing it. It should disappear within a day or two.

At least I got the 2017 maps and new device firmware in the process.
