What Berlingo would you buy with £5000
#1
Hi All,

My 2004 HDi has served me well over the last 7 years. I think it's time to replace it and I'd like a newer one. I presume they are quieter at motorway speeds (ok, French motorway speeds) and more economical than my old brick.

What's the best one I can get for my £5000? Not bothered about Sat nav

Thanks for your thoughts

B9 XTR plenty out there around that price you know the thing's to check full service history don't be afraid to take the air intake off to look and check the turbo for movement up down if any leave it clutch judder when pulling away overly pulling to the left .

I might actually be tempted, whereabouts are you?

Does the 1.6 remap as well as the 2.0HDi - my big problem is simply that 90bhp isn't enough for the distances I plan on doing in it. That's why I've still got my 2004 model with it's 123bhp which will do a noisy, but smooth and stable 185km/h :-)

I'm driving down to London Friday, back either Saturday night or Sunday am.

I was going to px it for a Octavia VRS as I found it too marmite for me sadly.

Edit: no probs if youre just thinking about one at the mo. I know with mine it can be mapped to 130/150bhp due to the bigger turbo and injector layout compared to the 75/90 models
