[Transmission] gearchange linkage 2.0hdi
#1
Tried to replace the three rods at the weekend but no way could I reach them. From below I could barely touch the bottom one - from above I removed the battery and air filter but couldn't even see them.
Has anyone been successful with this model?

I've got the same model and same problem so I'll be interested in the answer as well

I had the longest linkage rod snap about 2 months ago and had to call the AA out.  Once he identified it we drove off in his van to get the part from a local dealer about 15 minutes away and he (AA man) then fitted it by the roadside for me rather than towing me all the way home some 80 miles.

It was a bit of a pig he said but he did it all from underneath and once located with the new part in hand, took him 20 minutes at most to replace the linkage rod.

Rang the AA in south Sheffield after losing all my gears, he turned up in 30 minutes, 15 minutes to identify the issue, 15 minutes to the dealership and then returned to fit the new part about 20 minutes.

all-in-all I was back on road and driving south again in around 90 minutes, brilliant service from the AA in general but from this chap as well, who I tipped £10 Cool
