I don't have a Berlingo (yet). What I do have is a 1.9 TD from a Peugeot 806 that I have just scrapped, an exhaust manifold and turbo from a Xsara I scrapped last year and a Bosch injector pump that I never got around to fitting to that car. I am thinking it would make a good project to stick it all in a Berlingo.
Although I have the gearbox for the 806, I don't think it would work with a Berlingo. Rather than buy a 1.9 D and a TD gearbox it seems to make more sense to get a 2.0 HDI 90 equipped one and fit a simplified loom.
Does anyone have experience with aspects of this swap, such as:-
Can the 806 inlet manifold be used?
Which engine mounts?
How tricky would the rewiring be? (are all HDI multiplexed, or is there a 'simpler' one to look for?
would the HDI driveshaft fit to the rear of the XUD block?
Clutch/flywheel options
Any other issues I should be aware of.....
