Multispace flap hinge fixed..

I have refitted the rear roof flap on my Multispace using a small hinge and some small nuts and bolts..
 I cut a slot in the plastic using a dremell just big enough to slide the hinge into. The two remaining plastic original hinges I have left on so the flap still opens and closes using the original catch but hinges on the new metal hinge.
 I hope the pictures come out OK...

  I am going to swap the stainless screws for plastic ones and see if it looks any better..

I didn't swap out the bolts for plastic ones, I decided to fit covers over the bolts instead.. Looks good..

Did you find some glue that works on ABS?

Glue ? there is no glue used.

 I cut a slot in the plastic just large enough for the hinge to slide into. if you want to secure the hinge glue could be used but I don't feel the need to..

Thought that the bottom picture showed some glue? Perhaps it's something that was already there from the factory.

Yup there is a wavy yellow line in the bottom pic which is the original glued section of the roof panel..
