STINKING SCREENWASH !
#1
Hello Folks,
About a month ago, I gave my van a thorough service, & one of the jobs i done was flushing the screenwash container,
refilled with fresh clean water & mix of screenwash, great stuff, goes all foamy when used & does remove the bugs easier,
all was well & the weather had been good, no rain so I didn't use the washers for a while, then one morning it had rained during the night, so i put the wiper/washers on to clean the screen, & jeeees it absolutely stank like rotten eggs, has anyone else experienced this ?

I've had the same with Sainsbury cheap screenwash, but not with Tesco's.

I never use my screenwash / wipers unless the screen is clean / grit free or there has been enough rain to wash away the grit and soften the crud as I find buying new wipers offensive ......

I'm due to graduate from reading specs only to 24 / 7 specs soon so maybe my habits will change .....

I use this :- http://www.halfords.com/motoring/engine-...h-5l-berry

It smells quite nice and keeps the screen smear/grease free.

Lol my washers prefer to spray on everyhing apart from the windscreen, but on the rare moments that they actually do hit the windscreen it smells fine. I always get the cheapest stuff I can find, never had any problems with it.

Thanks for all your replys,
Special thanks to Trev for recommending the Halfords brand, Berry sounds nice, & a good price too,
just incase, the one that went 'eggy' was made by Autocare, called concentrated screenwash & was blue in colour,
AVOID !  ( unless you like eggs ) lol .

Yes, that is the one I use and it works well.  Same wiper blades over 3 years from new,  but my Blingo is garaged which does help.
