Hi I changed the clutch on my van this wkend, it's the cable type when putting the passenger side driveshaft in if you put it in to far it has a hard spot when turning the driveshaft it need to be out a little bit to run smooth but when putting the bottom ball joint back on it pushes it right back again, any thoughts? Cheers

With the ball joint in place put a wheel on the hub and if all rotates freely then all everything should be fine . It may be that the shaft was running at too steep an angle when not attached to the ball joint and the UJ was at its limit of movement, rather than the depth that it was into its bearing?

It's when I attach it to the ball joint the problem comes about,
To get the ball joint back in I have to push the drive shaft further in,
Cheers

best of luck .

Hi and thank you. I will take a look at that thanks, when spinning the disc when it's together it comes to a point with a little clunk and it moves the gearbox really weird and if it's not fully pushed in it's fine, almost as if there should be a spacer,
