courtesy light issues on 65 plate berlingo
#1
Hi all, having investigated the lack of courtesy lights in my van I have found that the rear one is connected bulb is fine but light does not work, front one is split into 3 with the main light supposedly working when doors are opened or when switched on manually or indeed off all together then an individual light either side of this operated by its own switch when I removed the light it became apparent why it was not working as I cannot find any wires to connect to it could it be part of the loom missing or could the wires have simply just dropped out of sight?
finally how do these lights operate with the doors as with all of my other cars and vans there have been courtesy light switches on the door posts that the doors activate when opened but I cannot find any trace of a switch on any door.

I suspect the switches are inside the doors and operated via the check strap.

No courtesy light switches, they work through the door latches in all modern cars now.
