Seat base

Hi,

I've recently acquired a very nice 2009 Multispace XTR.

All is well with it, but the Chap's wife was a bit overweight & the driver's seat base has failed.

A look online has shown a company on eBay based in wigan looking £95 + carriage for a seat base foam,

There's a French company who do it for £53 but deliver from France is quite expensive.

I notice from the adverts, that quite a lot of the higher mileage ones have failed drivers seats.

Has anyone found a source for seat foam at reasonable prices?

I you do a google search you will find quite a few places to seat refurbs - its usually the side of the seat that goes as you get in and out. Just notices you are in ireland! You may be locally limited?

Just buy another complete seat. There should be plenty of 2009's in the breakers.

Thanks for the replies guys. I had tried in vain to find a front seat for a multispace. Most breakers want around £100 for a 2nd hand van seat, given that some of them lie outside etc, I reckoned I could dismantle it to find a mouldy foam.

I've actually ordered a new seat foam from a company in France called Tissens. Inc delivery its about £74.00

The job will be fitting it, mind you if it looks too difficult then I might take it to the Polish chaps near me. They rebuilt a leather Seat in a Discovery I had, great job & only £65 (inc VAT).

An M59 seat is easy to strip especiaally the base so it cannot be too much of a job on later models surely
