I've just swapped my DAB radio into the Berlingo. At first every time I turned the ignition off, it had to be retuned when it was turned back on, so was obviously losing its unswitched feed.
I swapped the switched and unswitched feeds and now this problem is gone, but now the radio has to be switched off manually when you get out of the car. Is that normal?
Since I put the radio in, I've noticed the little display in the centre of the dash doesn't work properly. It scrolls the message e.g. "Front left door open" and then when you shut the door it freezes, so it might display "r open" and the time (which doesn't change). It's only really annoying because the clock stops and I have to open a door to get the right time!
While we're on electrical stuff, if I unlock and only open the tailgate, the car locks itself 30 seconds or so later. The rear courtesy lights also don't come on when you open the tailgate (only the sliding doors). Is this usual behaviour or is the meet something wrong with the tailgate open switch?
That's probably enough electrical questions for now!

You need to get a patch lead to get the centre display to work, have a search on the site there is plenty about the subject and leads required.

Admittedly I didn't search before I posted because I was on my phone and being lazy
Searching for "centre display" brings up a couple of threads, but no-one with the same as mine. "Patch lead" returns no results. Can you suggest what else I might search for?
Cheers

It is normal on mine , If I leave it on there is a delay of about a minute before it switches itself off.

I thought that might be the case, but I tried leaving it and didn't see it go off. Perhaps I didn't wait long enough, I'll have another go.

Just type Radio in the search box and you will have many happy hours of surfing.

Having read all the relevant-looking threads that a "radio" search throws up back as far as 2011, I'm just going to give up and stick a digital clock to the dash somewhere, and be glad that changing my radio hasn't stopped the car starting or any of the other myriad problems it seems to have caused people!

I parked up today and locked up with the radio on while I sorted some stuff out before leaving the car. Sure enough the radio went off after a couple of minutes. Tried it twice and it worked both times.
Before I left the car, the radio having switched itself off, I pressed the lock button on the remote key fob just to make sure it was locked. Indicators flashed to indicate it was already locked. And the radio turned back on. I give up trying to find logic in it.

Suspect that's the case - funnily enough I had the exact same problem with my last car.

Over the past few weeks I became pretty good with the electrics when swapping my old radio.
I have used this adapter for the stalk controls and display controls.
Connects2 CTSPG006
My display still had the same problems as yours, wich I fixed by unplugging the display cable (take off the trim arround the display and there is a cable on top), drive arround a few minutes, stop and reattach the cable and all should work again. Propably disconnecting the battery would do the same trick.
I have not tried this without the adapter, so not sure if it would work, but cant hurt to give it a try
