Tailgate trim panel removal.
#1
Hi
Just purchased an 08 plate multispace to convert to a camper.
And I was just wondering how to remove the large trim panel from the rear tailgate

Apart from the obvious yanking it off, knowing how fragile the clips are.
Thanks in advance...

A set of these make panel removal easier and don't scratch the paintwork http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5-Piece-Car-Do...SwxehXOfW0
And you will need some new clips as they tend to break removing them, easily obtainable from a motor factors or ebay.
Are we there yet????? Huh
Ex 1.6hdi van now 3 seater 1.4 multispace

I would order a few spare clips before you start  as they will be very Brittle and will break easily. I had that problem when I was removing my trm on my 2007 and nothing worse than having stop work and to get the clips

I just sunk a self tapper near one of the broken clips, as the clip was causing a rattle. I would have needed to pull away a good bit of the trim to replace the clip, which wasn't worth it at this stage. I can live with the self tapper.

I have a kit like this, though it has a lot more items and was a bit dearer. Just search eBay for trim removal tool.
