I'm driving a 2005 multispace 2.0 hdi
I was recently notified that my driver side break light was working . I have since replaced the bulb and still no joy
All other lights are working fine and passenger side break light works fine .
Would it be a faulty fuse causing this or something more sinister ?

Could it be as simple as one of the contacts that touch the bulb terminals isn't making a proper contact?
Get a test light or multimeter and test the contact points without the bulb in position and see what you get.

Probably the plug contacts or the bulb holder, wedge the brake pedal down with a volunteers foot or piece of wood and measure where the voltage stops by the cluster

According to the handbook P.77 there's a fuse in the BSI for each brake / stop light. F20 10A (Right) & F21 15A (Left). From memory the LH side also connects to the high level lights which probably accounts for the higher rated fuse.
The handbook is downloadable from the forum somewhere.
