DRL from BErlingo to Partner ?
#1
Hello,

Could someone help please ?

I just bought 2013 Peugeot Partner and wondering if DRL from Berlingo would fit ?
Or some aftermarket solution that would fit ?
I attached a picture of the car.

The connector may or not be there - going back to my boot light, I was expecting to find a dangling connector but there was nothing - I had to wire it myself.  I think they fit a completely different loom when fitting the glass roof option that includes the boot light.  So don't assume it will be there.  The Citroen dealer said they sometimes fit additional loom stubs where options are added.  If not then you could hard wire the power yourself though, with a relay to control it.

You may also have the issue of programming - there's a chance that the computer may need telling that DRLs are fitted.  I don't know this to be the case but it's possible.  If not then you could do it with hard-wiring and a relay controlled by the headlight power, with the DRLs wired through the Normally Closed contacts, so they go off when the lights are on.

I have these on mine, and they do switch off when the headlights are on.  They're definitely too bright for use in the dark and would presumably be illegal so an MOT failure if on all the time.

If you can't find the part number let me know and I can look up the part number for what's fitted to mine from the Citroen parts website with my VIN.  Expect them to be a horrendous price - a scrap one without front end damage might be a good option.  I'm pretty sure any aftermarket generic one would look terrible, as it's quite a weird shape.

THANK YOU, Very helpfull, I will have look what behind the covers :-)

You will almost certainly need to program the BSi unit to accept them - I have DRL's on my van and there is an option within the touchscreen to have them off or on.

I checked behind the cover and found out working DRLs with unplugged cables. Plugged those in and all works :-)

The DRL’s will also need to be programmed into the touchscreen as it has the option under vehicle settings. If you currently don’t have DRL’s it will show this etc.
