need part number for combo switch

Hi Need to find the correct part number for the combination switch.  The usual floppy indicator switch needs replacing.  Given that I have the type and year.  2003 1.9 diesel, (M59).

Floppy switches often only need a small repair - do you do your own work ?

Look at this ebay listing 271411241729 it shows how to fix ( only for DAV units not Delphi units ).

Plenty on the Forum about repairing also so have a search.

Hi thanks for the reply.  I do small jobs change oil, headlamps etc.  I did buy the small catch to repalce the old one and took it to a friendly garage, he had so much dificulty trying to extract the old unit, he gave up. So next option is to buy a complete combination switch.  There are a number on the market, but not sure which one.  A part number that came up that seems to look like the correct one 96662457XT, and 96662458XT.  How do I check.

Look at the back of the unit there may be a part number on it -
like this one on eBay 272556706753 or this one 252806618156 ( both are listed for later vehicles )

I find this seller really useful .... worth an ask

However you could always ask at the main dealership they aren't all dreadful and some are helpful.
