What engine is it and how many miles?
I ask because if its a 1.6hdi with a fair few miles and a dubious service history i would stop driving it now and remove the sump and check for sludge. What oil did you use and how much did you put in - type of filter used?
If not the above it could be a faulty oil level indicator.

How do you know there is no sludge in the sump? you cannot tell from draining (do a search on 1.6hdi sludge in the sump).
If its still doing it i would remove the sump asap

" touch the wheel to turn right "
assuming it is a touch rather than a turn that allows the oil to slosh around - it sounds like some weird electrical fault, cannot advise what though.

The switch is fitted at the front of the cylinder block above the oil filter housing or screwed into the oil filter housing.
