driving my auto ...helpful tips anyone ?
#1
I picked my XTR auto up yesterday  and still trying to get used to it. I'm getting juddering  when starting off , feels like it needs more revs but sometimes you need to creep foraward  say if the visibility was bad  , also Ive noticed when changing down it dosnt go down into 1st gear until I give it more break but then it starts off more smoothly if I dont check I'm likely to be still in 2nd and get the judders.. I'm thinking there must be some techniques which you experts know about. I'm used to driving a Discovery auto which is a completely different kettle of fish.Thanks.

morning and thanks for your reply. Yes, I understand that the mechanics are different to what I am used to and thats my problem I think , the throttle on the disco is feather lite and the tiniest bit of foot eases it forward and I think I am , as yet , trying to drive it the same . I'll have to experiment a bit I suppose. The car's done 30,000 miles and is a 2012.
