It looks like galvanised steel under there rather than aluminium. Paint will not stick to it without some good primer as the zinc needs to be treated with mordant solution or some epoxy primer would do the job.
So where does this bit go then ?

It's just where the roller / guide arm constantly slides. I was erring on "hammerite satin smooth" spray.
Anyone point me in a direction. Many thanks in advance, it's been a while since I logged in and posted but nice to be back all the same!

Went into Citroen dealer today, and repair/repaint on mine has been passed for warranty. Please note though my Blingo isnt quite 3 years old yet, good new anyway !!!!

Glad you got it sorted, mine is 9 years old , so I may get the stainless trims or look into getting mine painted / coated.
